stars Avalanche Dec. 15, 2019 Great Portland area hike, even in the winter time! It is a peaceful park with lots of trees (Giant Maple, Tall Cedars), ferns and streams. Over 70 acres with cleared, easy to tread trails. Hikes can range from easy to medium to the tougher elevation gain to Council Crest. Two weeks after knee surgery and it was a very good "recovery" hike. Spectacular views of the Portland area when you top out at 1073'.
