ianedwards86 July 18, 2018 Made a mistake at the top of the ridge exiting Blue Miner Lake. (1st photo). Should have gone hard left up the hill in a clearing between trees and dead white bark pines. The trail is hidden but there are a couple of cairns. Eventually the trail becomes clear and sets you along the ridge. Found fresh water from a melting snowfield about half way (3rd photo) I wouldn't rely on it in late season climbs. The trail disappears again but from that point you can just "line site" the summit. The true distance from Blue Miner lake is more like 3 miles. Following the trail on the return is much easier.
