This is a great trek which starts at the Inka ruins of Tambomachay just outside of Cusco. It gradually rises over the high plains, through herds of llamas, to Huchuy Qosqo pass at 4300 m. It then descends through a spectacular canyon to the ancient village of Huchuy Qosqo. The mountain scenery is great but the Inka trails, terraces, retaining walls and other structures are amazing! (Note: the GPS battery died about 1 km from Huchuy Qosqo so the log is not quite complete)
