Great hike with some pretry decent elevation gain. We didn't hit the summit, but were pretty darned close before turning around and going down to Mason Lake instead. Gorgeous lake in the snow pack (yes in June/July) at 4300'. This is a great trail to run down. Note: in hot weather, there is some pretty good sun even though a lot of the trail ia covered. This was the first time I have EVER dehydrated. Take plenty of fluids! I went through twice my normal amount on a hike of this length, and I still dehydrated.
