Steep, quick, difficult trail. Be prepared for several weather changes as you ascend. VERY windy at the top. In the fall months you're likely to encounter rain, hail, and even snow. You will reach a point where it splits off at the top and the sign is weathered away. Proceed to the left on the way up, and if you want a different route down on the way back, go the other way (the trail links back up ~ 1.5 miles down). This hike is wildly popular for good reason. It has amazing views and provides folks with a nice sense of accomplishment. In the spring - summer months you are required to have a permit on the weekends. These are available at the Marathon in Stevenson, WA shortly after you cross the Bridge of the Gods.
