An amazing cross-section of the Cuyahoga Valley — and an amazing autumn day for exploring it. Some sections were classic Eastern woodlands, like one would expect from Northeast Ohio... But other sections included golden meadows teeming with flowers and insects, like one might expect in the Dakotas... There were some parts that reminded me of the canyons of Western New York... And there was even a stand of great oaks, pines, and hemlocks that felt surprisingly similar to the Redwood forests of Northern California!
