Thanks for the reply. I've downloaded your track and will try to use the south face to get up there. I'm usually out there alone, so the last thing I want to do is anything that is crazy.

Hey Nathan - nothing more than class 3, no, though we ended up going up the north face/ridge and that was a little sketchier than I would have liked with steep pitches and loose rocks. I don't think there were any official routes for the north face, most that I saw in retrospect were east or south face. You can see on my map that we descended the south face, and that was a lot easier/safer than the north, so I would recommend that route up.

Hi Jeff, nice backcountry hike up to Pyramid Peak. I was out there this weekend as well, looking to go up to Pyramid Peak via Pyramid Lake or Gefo Lake, but couldn't discern a trail that was safe. Looks like you found a way. Did you do anything beyond class 3 scrambling?
