This was a kayak trip down cash creek. The map includes the car ride from the take out place to the launch site. The river flow was scout 400 cu ft per second. This trip should not be attempted with less flow. Best time to go probably early to mid July. Launch on road 41 take out on road 57 both east of CA 16. Saw deer, fish jumped out just ahead of me, Sand Hill Cranes, Blue Heering, night herrings, swallows, turkey vulchers, red tailed hawks, ducks. Shore is grassy, willows, gravel, or rarely tall trees or sandy. Cash Creek drops perhaps 10' every 300 linear feet of travel without rapids. Class 1 rapids drop suddenly 5 - 10 feet over less than 20 feet frequently. Too shallow in a couple of places. Good place to introduce kayaking in rapids. Possible to launch 2 miles further north at a Bay Scout camp. There may be a small dam there with a 3 foot drop spillway, however.
