The Spokesman-Review Outdoor section is happy to be restarting a regular installment featuring outdoor trips throughout the Spokane region. In the 1990s longtime Spokesman-Review outdoor editor Rich Landers ran his popular Classic Trips in the Inland Northwest column.
We're reviving that. We'll feature trips of varying style, difficulty, length and commitment. For longtime readers of the Review some of the trips will be familiar. But, they'll be presented in a new and more modern way with a greater focus on online access. All will include photos, detailed trip reports and resources. Some will also be paired with short videos.
The kickoff trip is a tried and true classic snowshoe loop on Spokane's hometown mountain suitable for beginning snowshoers and children.
