Park at the designated trailhead for the MST on the right hand side of Creedmoor Rd. There is parking for about 5/6 cars. If this pulloff is full, park on the left hand side of the road that has space for 2-3 cars. The trailhead for the start of this section is just behind. It bears downhill and then left to reach an information board and a sign indicating Falls Lake trail, foot traffic only. The trail begins following the shore line and views of the lake are visible through the trees. The trail soon bends to start to go around a large inlet. The trail comes out of the beech forest to a power easement section and follows this uphill past the inlet end before bearing right back into the forest. The trail continues hugging the shoreline before moving inland and crossing over a stream. After heading uphill it continues along the shore line before bearing right to go towards the peninsula. After cresting the incline, one is rewarded with views of Rollingview Marina on the other side of the Lake. The trail then bears left to follow a large inlet. At the end of the inlet, the trail comes out of the forest to head further inland before crossing an easement and reentering the forest once more. The trail continues further inland crossing over another tiny stream and intersecting with an unmarked trail. It then bears right and then left again to pass a large cairn. The trail can be continued another 2.2 or so miles to reach the terminus of this section at Boyce Mill Road.
