Unbelievably warm for January - close to 70 degrees; ground thawed, not a trace of snow left. Threat of rain cancelled regular hike; small group (5) went out at 11. Luce trail is well marked, both directions -- though red dots are faded, heading south. Trail is rugged overall, though lower end more so, with more boulders. Still, not difficult. No wet spots to speak of, despite running alongside wetlands. Blueberry Lane is almost all exposed rock -- fine today, but hazardous when snow & ice. Route was longer than usual, but with small group, we made good time, finishing in 1 hour 50 mins. Woods were beautiful, with long vistas in every direction. Perfect!
