stars steverpeac May 19, 2020 The hike starts from a nature conservancy amidst wildflowers and well tended paths. It gets fairly steep fairly quickly and doesn't relent for the first couple of miles. After that the elevation gain moderates and one gets excellent views of the Los Angeles Basin on one side and Tujunga Canyon on the other. The back side is much the same, in terms of the elevation profile, but drops into a lovely little canyon bisected by a creek, close to the end of the hike. I did the hike counter clockwise.
