We wanted to go up to Sibley peak and read the latest report where they mentioned a lot of snow. There was no longer that much snow, so I took a route I assumed was the boot path. It turned out to be a sloppy mud gully with class 4 scramble climbing and a bit of veggie belaying to make it onto the ridge. Ice axe and trekking pole helped make the gully ascent possible. We went down the standard route which is a class 2/3.
