Halibut Point 7/28/19
We had wonderful weather this morning -- sunny, not too hot, boats aplenty on the ocean, some impressive cairns in the participatory cairn sculpture garden along the path down to the ocean rocks and ledges.
We started the walk around the east side of the quarry, visiting the spots where the Quarrydance dancers staged the early segments of this year's Quarrydance, then headed to the observation lookout, then down to the ocean rocks. Some of the way to the Hooper house was a little too challenging, so we turned back and took the trails in the Trustees parcel adjacent to the state park to get to the Town of Rockport sea rocks.
Track starts and ends at Windhover -- Many thanks to Lisa Hahn, who met us there, in the midst of preparations for today's final performance of the Quarrydance, for allowing us to park at Windhover.
