Mount Logan RT
This was a 3 day trip:
day 1: TH to Lake at 5200
day 2: camp to summit- summit camp
day 3: camp to car
The return track is better.
Two subtle but important differences:
1. The summit scramble. Do not go left of the ridge. Find a way to get directly on the crest of the ridge from the snow from the right side (waypoint transition). The left side is chossy and rotten and exposure is terrible. Once attained stay on the ridge to false summit, then descend in saddle and ascend to true summit (middle one). Final class 4 move
2. The descent from camp at the lake. Traverse the bog staying closer to the lake (skier's left_, climb briefly on ridge and find the faint trail (waypoint). Keep on it and avoid rock bands by picking gullies down until final little ridgelet will take you back to trail.
Overall if you keep on the descent path, you'll do much better than ascent route and save time.
