Elberta Slant Road
Elberta Slant Road is a popular recreational trail that starts just west of UT Route 68 in Elberta, UT.
The road heads west where it meets up with UT Route 6 just outside of Eureka, UT.
At Waypoint 3, be sure to make the right turn onto the tunnel turnoff.
Be careful where you turn, there are several other turnoffs in the area that do not take you to the right place.
The road loops around and then continues towards a rock wall that was cut through in the late 1800's to allow railroads to come through for the Tintic Mining District.
This trail affords the opportunity to drive through the mining tunnel that is there.
As you continue out of the tunnel, make sure to turn left at waypoint 7 or else you will continue onto a different trail.
The trail will continue west and meet up with UT Route 6 just east of Eureka, UT. Be careful in the winter as these dirt roads are not well maintained and there is quite often snow on the roadway.
