Great trail it’s worth it Dunes we’re cool not that hard just slow and steady you will be fine.Try get there for sunrise in Spring no lights on the road to the trail head,easy to miss the turn at early am hours,Coyotes and Mountain Lions around in the early AM hrs be aware,cover up and 2 liters of water.

Loved it. Slow uphill slog, but great views and fun descent. We hiked from the campground as the main road was closed for repaving.
